Beulah London - Brand photoshoot in Mayfair, London

I had the honour of photographing the launch of Beulah London's Art collaboration with Marine Tanguy's art agency.

Marine Tanguy is the owner of MTart agency. An agency that works with talented artists. Her agency was behind the worlds biggest public art piece, the Beyond Walls Project by Saype in Paris, and was supported by 30 different companies. This included The Eiffel Tower and the Guardian media group. Marine herself has been featured in Forbes ‘30 under 30’ and given two TEDx talks.

In this collaboration, Beulah London exhibited the artworks of MTart agency's artist Jennifer Abessira. Jennifer creates the most Palpable images. Her play on colour and everyday experiences are intense and beautiful expressions of her life.

This collaboration spoke to my heart. I love art that helps create an inspiring and meaningful environment, and I love values that intertwine freedom and equality. After the shoot, I was able to chat with the boutique manager about the story of Beulah London and the inspiration behind the brand's existence. I stood in the boutique in tears as I listened.

Beulah means freedom for all. Their story began in 2009 when founders Natasha and Lavinia volunteered to work in a rehabilitation centre in Deli, teaching sewing skills to women who were survivors of sex trafficking. It was here they saw the devastation caused and the need to make a change. The new skills both Natasha and Lavinia were teaching these survivors would ultimately help establish thier independence and help the survivors break free from the cycle of abuse, exploitation and poverty.

Beulah London was born with a strong desire to fight exploitation and their love of India's fabrics and designs. They help create sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable and previously trafficked women.

The London design team create timeless, luxurious elegant pieces that make their customers feel beautiful and empowered, knowing they have helped change lives. I loved the dresses Marine wore on the shoot and their designs are true to their word. Beautiful, feminine and empowering, as well as being the Dutches of Cambridge's go-to brand!
