Being part of a couples wedding journey is such an honour. And Jeylan and Seyit were no exception. Their story began eight years ago. It all started with Jeylan hitting the curb during a driving lesson. "The driving instructor called his son (Seyit) to help him change the tyre. I still remember that day he was so confident. The window was open, and he came and said hello. A week later, he asked his dad for my number, and that was it. We got engaged eight years later after I proposed as a joke! Then he turned it into something serious"
This wedding took me to Pembroke Lodge. A stunning venue, set high on the hills of the jaw-dropping Richmond Park. Home to many wild deers and natural beauty.
Jeylan told me,
"I found the venue on Hitched.com, after searching for places with green spaces in London. This one came up. It had terrific reviews, so we went to see it. It was the second venue we visited when I first walked in; I could have cried. It was beautiful. I knew that was the right place"
Jeylan wore a stunning dress by designer Stella York. "I always had an idea of what dress I wanted, it was the second dress I tried on, and I fell in love."
She chose an off-the-shoulder dress with draped straps. The straps were covered in stunning lace appliqués, mimicking those on the skirt. Lace, tulle and Royal organza create the full ballgown skirt, gently showered also with lace appliqués. She looked stunning. The bridesmaids, in pastel pink, wore dresses from Dorothy Perkins. The pretty pastel colours looked great against the pale pink and white flowers of their stunning bouquets by The Fine Flowers Company. Seyit wore a suit from his favourite suit shop, Hugo Boss. His father also wore a suit of the same design.
Their wedding took place on one of the most beautiful sunny days in July and the day's celebrations unfolded seamlessly. It was important to them to surround themselves with a select few of the nearest and dearest. They were celebrating, enjoying the sunshine and getting ready to party hard long into the night. The love for these two was very evident in the speeches, hugs and tears throughout the day. Alongside the stunning Pembroke Lodge there really couldn't have been a better setting to celebrate.
Congratulations to you both. It was a fantastic day! I wish you all the best on this beautiful journey. Love Rx
