Holly and Laurence married at Caswell house, a beautiful historic 15th-century manor house with stunning medieval barns set in the heart of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.
They had a beautiful elegant wedding surrounded by the stunning Cotswolds scenery. They wanted to have their ceremony outside. But due to the fear of imminent rain, a last-minute decision was made to have their service in the barn. As you will see from the photographs plan B was not disappointing. The barn looked stunning. Beautiful fairy lights draped the ceiling. The ceremony conducted by Judy Mansfield was just wonderful. Both sets of mothers lit candles to represent the bonding of 2 families. I loved their vows. They were a mixture of fun as well as a testimony of the deep connection they have for each other. Laurence said "I see these vows not as promises but as privileges: I get to laugh with you and cry with you, care for you and share with you. I get to run with you and walk with you, build with you and live with you" he continued to promise not to eat her sausage roll if she left it on the side, vow to protect you from spiders AND moths as long as we both shall live. Holly said "You have the kindest heart I know, you love me always the good bits and the bad. You love me even when I don't love myself. Although I can't promise to share my food, I promise to try. Most importantly I promise to get rid of those big scary moths you are so scared of". You can imagine there wasn't a dry eye in the room including mine!
Once the unreal amount of confetti had been thrown, and the champagne flutes had been filled, the celebrations began!
The flowers by Joanna Carter Flowers were just beautiful. Beautiful white and dusky pink roses with green springs and eucalyptus. I loved the elegant theme. Holly's dress was beautiful and suited the sleek feel of their wedding perfectly. She wore the Ellis dress which she bought from Beas Bridal Boutique. Holly can be very indecisive and thought choosing the right dress would take many moments of indecision. However, she had seen a photograph of a new dress they had just got in. It was a combination of her two favourite dresses. It took one try, and the decision was made. It was that easy in the end. I have to say Holly looked beautiful. Laurence looked equally dashing in his suit by Charles Tyrwhitt.
Laurence and Holly went to the same school but didn't know each other as they were in different year groups. They met again on a night out! 'He fed me an awful line, and it wasn't love at first sight. But after many months of persistence we went on our first date to the zoo!" They have been inseparable ever since. Their wedding day marked their 7th anniversary! Congratulations Holly and Laurence your wedding was awesome and the perfect day! Wishing you many more days as perfect as this one and a lifetime of love and laughter. Love Razia xx
