Keshini and Matthew- The King’s Chapel

This wedding was simply beautiful. Not just because of Keshini's beautiful dress, the details and the stunning cake which were incredibly impressive, but also because of the fascinating stories that echoed with it. They met 11 years ago on their first job in a call centre. "We only did a couple of shifts together, I think even just one!" They have been together for just over 5 years and their 5th anniversary was on the day before their wedding day! Matthew proposed in Thailand, in the clouds, on top of a cave temple on a mountain. "We had to climb over 2000 steps in 40 degrees heat. It's safe to say I was a shade of beetroot red when I got to the top. It was really romantic, I had no idea that he had even got a ring. It was the most beautiful moment". Sounds incredible!

The King’s chapel was the backdrop to their beautiful wedding. A rustic old chapel standing in the Old Town on the High Street of Old Amersham. They fell in love with it straight away after visiting so many different venues. They loved how it was set in an old historical village. They also loved the flexibility of the site. "Nothing we wanted was too difficult for them. The fact that we could have Sri Lankan, South Indian and English for the main meal was what completely sold us."

Keshini completely fell in love with her dress designed by Lilian West. "I saw it in March 2018 at Kings Chapel wedding show. My mum and I picked out the same thing when it was on the rack! We knew it was THE one. I loved the way it was floaty, but it was so beautiful too. It had so much detail but was also really subtle…. Initially, I was going to go for a cheaper dress so that I could change in the evening into traditional Asian lengha. I tried on about 15 dresses and hated all of them!! I then decided to take the chance and get the initial dress I fell in love with". I couldn't agree more, and she looked absolutely stunning! Bridesmaids wore pastel blue dresses bought from ASOS. Matthew got his and groomsmens suits from Moss Bros.

The day started beautifully. Both Keshini and Matthew were getting ready in different parts of the Crown Hotel. Keshini’s hair and make up was done by Katie Walton. Keshini loved Katie's ethos, "I believe everyone is beautiful with or without makeup, and everyone should embrace being in their own skin". Keshini doesn't wear much makeup and was very worried that it may look like she was wearing too much, but Katie did a fantastic job!

Emotions were running high especially as the ceremony was about to begin, and I loved capturing the anticipation on Mathews' face just before Keshini walked down the aisle. After the civil ceremony, Keshini's uncle continued with their own personal blessing followed by some beautiful songs sung by Keshini's cousin. It was an emotionally charged ceremony where they both made their own personal vows to each other.

Keshini and Matthew, I can't even begin to tell you how much fun it's been being part of your wedding journey. From a pre-wedding photoshoot getting you comfy in front of the camera in the beautiful Epping forest, building up to the big day itself. It's been incredible!

Congratulations!  Wishing you the love you share together to be without end! Love Razia x
