Georgia and Mark- Forde Abbey

The lovely Georgia and Mark  wanted a wedding celebration that they could share with all their closest friends and family at Forde Abbey in Somerset. When I first received the email from them a year ago I knew I just HAD to shoot this wedding.  Georgia wrote "The venue means the world to me. When I was 18 my dad passed away.  But our family spent our childhood here and we also scattered my dads ashes here (which we later found out we weren't supposed to, oops) so it is very close to my heart"  It was the perfect way to include him and make him part of the day. I shed a few tears and replied instantly.

Throw in one of the warmest days in summer to a spectacular setting. The sun lighting up the courtyard was so pretty.  They had the most amazing day. Georgia looked stunning. She wore a stunning lace dress and a loose side ponytail decorated with fresh flowers.

She followed her beautiful bridesmaids down the isle who wore beautiful dusky lilac dresses by Adrianne Popell. Mark looked pretty swish in his blue suite by Moss Bros as he waited patiently for his bride.

After the ceremony everybody made their way to the chapel. The blessing was conducted by a close family friend and Georgia's Grandma did a reading. It was understandably an emotional blessing. Georgia and Mark exchanged their own vows. After this everyone made their way outside to the beautiful surroundings of Forde Abbey.  With laughter coming from every single corner of the Abbey; Georgia and Mark caught up with old friends, and what can now be called 'new family'.  During dinner Georgia had booked a surprise singer who had everyone singing and dancing on the tables. The celebration had well and truly began and lasted well into the night!  Woohoo!

What an incredible day.  Congratulations Georgia and Mark. You did it. Months of merticulous planning and you got the perfect day!
