Gemma and Aaron- Coltsfoot Country Retreat

Gemma and Aaron met in their science class when they were only 13 years old but didn't actually start dating until Aaron's 18th Birthday. Yes, it took Aaron that long to ask her out! They had some time apart in their twenties but remained friends and 3 years later got back together.

They had originally planned to marry a few years ago but sadly Gemma's father passed away suddenly and understandably they decided to abandon their plans. When they decided the time was right, Gemma had a little photograph of her father attached to her flowers honouring him.

They chose the Coltsfoot Country retreat because  it was small and intimate, keeping everyone together. They were sold on the fantastic customer care from Charlotte the wedding coordinator, the beautiful views and the animals!

As a photographer I observe interaction and connection.   I was really touched with the connection I observed between Aaron and his brother. I don't think I have seen anything like it before.   They had a flow and affinity with each other that can only be born out of a strong bond. Its difficult to explain but I hope that I was able to capture this in my pictures.

Gemma spent the morning with her bridesmaids, mum and daughter. It was really relaxed and I didn't see any nerves at all before the ceremony.

The ceremony was just adorable to watch.  Their children Freddie and Ava were an integral part of it and whilst they were excited to see their parents get married it was a little over whelming. Freddie hid under Gemma's skirt for the whole time.  I loved that both Gemma and Aaron continued with their vows regardless. It was very endearing and made the memory even more special.

Freddies fascination with Gemma's dress continued. Whilst trying to get a bridal shot of Gemma, Freddie rolled around under her dress. Again I got some priceless shots. Far more interesting then if Freddie wasn't involved :)

Gemma wore a stunning two piece by two different designers.  Her beautiful lace top was by Lilian West and the gorgeous  flowing chiffon skirt was by Eddy K.  Gemma looked Stunning. The pale pink ASOS dresses the bridesmaids wore added to the soft colour palette that Gemma chose which was again beautifully complimented by the stunning bouquet made by Grace and Violet.  Aaron and groomsman  wore suites from Empire outlet. They looked incredibly cool!

I can see that you both are blessed with an amazing family and friends. I really enjoyed capturing your wedding day.

Congratulations and loving wishes to you both! Love Rx
