Every year we take a trip down to Polzeath in Cornwall. This time we were lucky enough to travel down with family. I think it is so much more fun for the children to have their cousins with them.
Cornwall holds a special place in my heart. We have been going their ever since the children were little and it is a part of their childhood that will always be dear to them. Polzeath beach normally has the most amazing waves which attracts all the surfers. This year however, during our visit the waves were tame. Very little surfing was done. Despite this we spent every day on the beech, snorkling, eating pasties and fish and chips and relaxing around a beach fire. The weather was just incredible for the whole week we were there. As you know with a British holiday you can't predict the weather. But we were so lucky! We managed to squeeze in a coastal walk too.
This holiday was scheduled right in the middle of the wedding season for me but I have learnt that a weeks break in the summer while the children have school holidays is essential quality time that is priceless. Of course I am not to be without my camera and it is traditional to make a video of the highlights which I am excited to share with you.
I know through speaking to some of my 2018 brides Cornwall is a special place for them too. I'd love to hear more of your stories. Please do leave a comment :) xx
