When I first met Hattie and Justin I knew we were going to click! I found them relaxed, funny and very entertaining. I loved hearing their story of how they met, their love for dogs, what they like about each other and Justin’s unusual tactic to get Hattie’s ring size for her engagement ring.
They originally wanted to get married in a barn but after viewing several they couldn’t find a barn they liked. They chose Norfolk as this is where Hattie grew up. When they viewed Holkham Hall they knew instantly it was the perfect venue for them. They loved the formality of the marbled hall where the ceremony was held contrasted with the relaxed vibe of the walled garden. They wanted a relaxed informal environment where everyone could enjoy themselves - pitching up a tent in the walled gardens made for a super relaxed festival feel. They wanted the style to be really personable and although it was a lot of hard work, every effort was made to ensure the venue felt like Hattie and Justin! There was so much prettiness in this wedding as you will see from the photographs. The tables were decorated with lots green foliage, white roses and candles.
During the ceremony they made funny and witty vows to each other and the registrar shared their story:
“They met almost 4 years ago outside the Apple Store on Regent Street although Justin had no idea that she worked for Apple. Hattie expected drinks and potentially dinner if she thought things were going well. However, Justin didn't understand the idea of a date and took her to a vegetarian all you can eat buffet restaurant. By the end of their first date, Justin realised that Hattie had a beautiful smile, liked to travel and she had lived in New York. Hattie realised that Justin had a confusing story about where he has lived, was an extremely slow eater and took a very long time to tell a story”
After the ceremony I had the opportunity to take some portraits of them. I always try to capture every couple’s uniqueness. I loved that they were both playful and poked fun at each other and as a result we got some lovely shots.
Hattie looked stunning in her dress by Rebecca Ingram; a beautiful lace dress with a sweetheart neckline. She wore a beautiful vintage headpiece and her hair was worn loosely to the side. Justin looked dapper in his checkered suit by Jennis and Warmann. He wore it with a bold checked bow tie and brown waistcoat.
Justin and Hattie, what an amazing day it was! You are truly best friends. Wishing you all the best for the future. Love Rx
